Christian Education Ministry

The Mission of the Christian Education Ministry is in accord with the mission of our church, which is found in Ephesians 4:12: “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

Guided by the Holy Spirit, the Christian Education Ministry has, from its inception sought to build and strengthen Mt. Calvary’s knowledge of, and dedication to the Word of God. It continues to be our desire that we exercise our spiritual gift of teaching to help build disciples who are equipped to openly, and confidently defend and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. God has given us the awesome responsibility to help mature the saints of Mt. Calvary through the thoughtful and diligent study of His Word. In response to Matthew 28:18-20, we serve the body of this historic church:
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

The Christian Education Ministry oversees Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Please join us for Sunday School each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Sunday School classes for students in grades pre-k thru 4 are held during 11 a.m. worship service on the first, second and fourth Sundays of each month.
